A flower

My favorite flowers are Tulips of all colors and all sizes.

I would like to share this flickr gallery that I chanced upon when I was surfing for random things.
A beautiful flower

To me the Tulip is more beautiful than the Rose. They bring sunshine into the lives of others more than the Sunflower.

Instant Golden Curry

They had curry on sale at Uwajimaya today for a mere $0.99 and since it was such a bargain, I had to buy a box. It comes in three levels of spiciness: Hot, Medium-Hot, and Mild. Medium-Hot just has a slight kick to it but nothing too impressionable. It was rated 3 stars on the box but it's more like 1. I usually opt for this one because Japanese curry tastes the best when it isn't too spicy.

Curry in a pouch is very weird. The instructions were to boil the pouch in hot water or pour out the sauce over rice and microwave it.

It was savory but very oily. It's good for curry fans who are extremely tight on budget. The potatoes had the same weird texture that you get when you get in canned stew. The carrots were slivers.

Believe me! You are not missing out on much! If you don't have time to prepare curry, just use a slow cooker. Put everything together like you would do for stew and add the Golden Curry Sauce Mix. Let it stew and you'll get delicious curry when you get home.

Past, present, and future

It's been a while since I've updated this blog. I wish I would have some more commitment to projects when I start them. Since I don't write in a diary anymore, we'll use this blog instead!

One of the last days of summer in Seattle was bittersweet. There's also a beautiful full moon tonight!

I met with my ex-boss to discuss my unemployment and future goals for the previous part time job I currently have. The decision is clear, there is no way I will be stuck in a dead end job. It will be a bandage now, but it will be a handicap later. The personnel and management has ran the place to the ground.

A filler mv to take a sneak peak into my life as I continue to update this blog with foodie reviews. This song has been running on repeat in my mind.

On a side note, my prayers are out tonight for my friend's father who is very sick. Please pray for her and her family.

Marination Mobile

A little late but I'm wishing everyone a happy new year and praying for the survivors of the Haiti crisis. My cousin and her son just got back from Haiti before the earthquakes hit.

I've decided to start a blog. Hopefully I can keep this updated on a daily...if not, weekly basis. I believe that writing really soothes the soul and becomes an outlet from stress. Writing creates thoughts that stimulates the mind as well as the heart...

Today, D and I decided to have a lunch date and went to find a food truck. Marination is the Seattle version of the Kogi truck in Los Angeles. Like Kogi, Marination serves food created from Mexican, Korean, and Hawaiian influences.

The line wasn't too long when we got there a little after 12:30. D and I were disappointed that they didn't have Spam Musubi as a special for the day. Instead, their only special was a Spam Slider.

I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl and D ordered a Kalbi Beef Taco and a Aloha Slider.

The Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl was a bit too salty for my liking. It was also a weird texture of crunchy and chewy. This was probably because the rice was undercooked. The cook might have also left it on the hot plate too long.

I don't have picture of D's taco and slider but they both looked pretty good. The kalbi beef was tender and dressed with cabbage, carrots, and green onions with a few slices of jalapenos. The slider had the same dressing but was topped with kalua pork instead of beef.

Prices weren't too steep. The Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl sold for $5.00, ($1.50 extra for meat or tofu) and sliders and tacos sold for $2 each. They also had a quesadilla but I forgot how much it was.

Maybe I'll go again next week for the Spam Musubi but it wasn't as exciting and delicious as I thought it would have be!
