I've decided to start a blog. Hopefully I can keep this updated on a daily...if not, weekly basis. I believe that writing really soothes the soul and becomes an outlet from stress. Writing creates thoughts that stimulates the mind as well as the heart...
Today, D and I decided to have a lunch date and went to find a food truck. Marination is the Seattle version of the Kogi truck in Los Angeles. Like Kogi, Marination serves food created from Mexican, Korean, and Hawaiian influences.

The line wasn't too long when we got there a little after 12:30. D and I were disappointed that they didn't have Spam Musubi as a special for the day. Instead, their only special was a Spam Slider.
I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl and D ordered a Kalbi Beef Taco and a Aloha Slider.

The Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl was a bit too salty for my liking. It was also a weird texture of crunchy and chewy. This was probably because the rice was undercooked. The cook might have also left it on the hot plate too long.
I don't have picture of D's taco and slider but they both looked pretty good. The kalbi beef was tender and dressed with cabbage, carrots, and green onions with a few slices of jalapenos. The slider had the same dressing but was topped with kalua pork instead of beef.
Prices weren't too steep. The Kimchi Fried Rice Bowl sold for $5.00, ($1.50 extra for meat or tofu) and sliders and tacos sold for $2 each. They also had a quesadilla but I forgot how much it was.
Maybe I'll go again next week for the Spam Musubi but it wasn't as exciting and delicious as I thought it would have be!
